1. Your account

Provide an email address you control, keep your sign-in details private, and give accurate information where it is needed to run your account. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. Contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be 18 or over to create a Jokello account and meet any other requirements that apply to you under local law. The adult humour setting is for people aged 18 or over and must be deliberately selected. Do not select it or send adult content to someone who is under 18.

2. Humour, with boundaries

Jokello is for entertainment. Humour is subjective, and a joke is not a factual statement or professional advice. You choose your humour level, categories and excluded topics, and can change them in your preferences.

Do not use the service to harass, threaten, discriminate, impersonate someone, expose private information, send unwanted messages, or break the law. Only enter names and other people’s details when you have permission or another lawful basis. Avoid sensitive personal information in joke customisations.

Do not attempt to access another account, bypass security or usage limits, distribute malware, or disrupt the service.

3. Access, gifts and payments

Available features and access levels are described in the app. Paid subscriptions and paid gift checkout are currently unavailable; displaying a price or gift preview does not create a purchase or recurring charge. We do not currently collect card details.

Complimentary invitations and coupons may have an expiry, an email restriction or a usage limit. The conditions shown with an invitation or coupon apply. Complimentary access does not automatically become a paid subscription.

Any future paid offering will show its price, renewal, cancellation and applicable refund terms before you agree to a purchase.

4. Deliveries and sharing

Scheduled jokes are opt-in. You choose the supported channel, schedule and timezone, and can pause delivery or unsubscribe. Essential account messages, such as verification and password recovery, are separate from scheduled jokes. Delivery times are targets and can be affected by outages or email providers.

When you create a public share link, anyone with that link can view the shared content, including personalisation you chose to include. You can revoke the link, but this cannot remove screenshots, downloads or copies someone has already made. Share and gift responsibly.

5. Content and permissions

You keep any rights you hold in information you submit. You permit us to store and use that information as needed to provide the features you request, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

You may use the app’s sharing and download features for personal use. Rights in Jokello’s original branding, software and content remain with their owners. Do not resell the service or copy its collection for commercial distribution without permission, except where the law permits it.

6. Availability and account closure

We may update features, fix issues or temporarily interrupt the service for maintenance. We cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that every joke will suit every person.

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, a security threat or a breach of these terms. You can stop using Jokello at any time and delete your account in Account settings. Data handling after deletion is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies you have under applicable consumer or data protection law, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

If something goes wrong, contact oetoni@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not require you to give up access to a court, regulator or other remedy available under applicable law.

8. Changes to these terms

We will update the effective date when these terms change. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate, and any consent required by law will be requested. New paid features will require a separate purchase decision.
